Salary: Bachelor's Degree - US$54,600.00 (per year); Master's Degree - US$62,400.00 (per year)
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 5:00 pm

Position Summary:
The Cultural Division, Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Washington D.C. office is recruiting an Academic Advisor. The Academic Advisor is responsible for all aspects of administering Kuwait Government scholarship programs including but not limited to providing academic advisement and counseling for a number of Kuwaiti sponsored students attending Universities in the Unites States and Canada.
Minimum Qualifications:
Earned Bachelor's Degree in Education, International Education, and Counseling or related field with minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Minimum Requirements:
• Must have 5 years and above professional experience.
• Must have up-to-date knowledge of U.S. Higher Education, Immigration rules pertaining to international students/scholars.
• Must have the ability to function and perform day-to-day academic advising task in a fast-paced, team-oriented multi-cultural environment.
• Position requires strong organizational communication.
• Computer literacy including skills with Internet research tools and social media.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, teamwork, critical thinking and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in educational institution.
• Previous experience in advising college and/or university international students.
• Awareness of multi-cultural settings.
